Attack On Titan ASMR to Help with Sobriety
Attack on Titan is one of the few anime I’ve seen, so when YouTube asked me [via the sidebar] “Yo Yo Yo! Are you trying to watch any of these videos? We think you might like these very famous artists that bring us the most revenue.” I was like “aight, bet. I’ll check out the new Geebz.” Except it’s not new. Today’s featured video came out on April 27 of 2019. Do you remember those days? Waiting in line at Caffe Trieste without wearing a mask? Beautiful days! After this is all said and doneish, and the world is forever changed, I highly suggest you make the pilgrimage to Caffe Trieste. Their espresso won’t help you stay sober, but the pilgrimage might!
For those of you interested in singing up for Crunchy Roll [my sisters uses that streaming service all the time], the following link is Gibi’s affiliate link: http://crunchyroll.com/gibi. Since I don’t affiliate with any products [I got booted from Amazon Affiliates because I didn’t make any sales for the entire 6 months I used the program], I can at least plug the plug. Hmm, but now that I’ve said it out loud, it seems so obvious that I should place ASMR Affiliate links within these post. Because, you know, if you are an Asmrtist, you can affiliate with this us [it’s only me, right now] and recommend the shirts from our shop and generate a 25% – up to a 50% commission. In fact! If you click this link right here, and you make a purchase, you will be directly supporting both LadyCocoaa ASMR and myself. We both thank you graciously! Also, Thank You to Gibi for creating a really good advertisement that inspired me to think. I love a good advertisement. I’ve been enthralled with commercials since I was like 7 years old, no joke. I’ve started keeping a swipe file recently, which is a folder where you keep a copy of all the copy that inspires you.
If you have never seen attack on Titan, you are missing out! It’s such an easy show to get into; this is something you can trust me on. I don’t want much TV…almost none. I’ve seen the first two seasons of too many shows! Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Sherlock, Luther, True Blood; I’ve only seen the first season of Stranger Things, and yes, even Attack on Titan. I’ve only seen the first season of Sword Art Online, but I am to understand that is a good thing. I’ve only seen half the first season of Jessica Jones, and I’ve never watched the last two episodes of Death Note. I never read the last 20 pages of the LOTR trilogy. I am terrible. I have seen all the episodes of Tokyo Ghoul, which is another really good anime if you are looking to check one out [probably even easier to consume than Attack on Titan]. I’ve also seen every episode of Futurama, and more recently I watched Narcos in it’s entirety. Holy shit, am I rambling? I mean I know am rambling, but…are you still alive? I’m not trying to bore you to death.
One thing I have learned over the past couple of years, is that there is a significant difference between enjoying something, and wanting to enjoy something. Let’s take the act of building arduino’s. If you are unfamiliar with what an arduino is, Wikipedia describes it as “Arduino is an open-source hardware and software company, project and user community that designs and manufactures single-board microcontrollers and microcontroller kits for building digital devices.” That might be a little confusing, because arduino is both the name of a company, and the name of the product they create. I mean, sure, the company Arduino manufactures single-board microcontrollers, but if another company manufactures a similar product, the community that uses these things [it’s not as big as the ASMR Community] simply calls those other products “arduino boards” It’s not a huge market, on either side of the distribution scale, and I’ve never even heard about a brand being near-close to as reputable as the Arduino brand…where was I going with this? Oh yeah! So these Arduino’s caused me to have an epiphany, which caused a revelation. WANTING TO ENJOY SOMETHING, AND ENJOYING SOMETHING, ARE NOT THE SAME! Do you feel me? Are you picking up what I’m putting down? You see, I think it’s a common thing that people want to prove…mostly to themselves, actually; that they are smart af. For a long time I have been interested in programming computers, but after several attempts at learning to code – including trying to teach myself how to work with Arduino’s – I realized that I am more interested in the title of the craft, than the craft itself. Let me rephrase: I am more interested in proving to myself that I can do these complicated tasks, than the outcome of the tasks themselves. It doesn’t matter to me if I program the computer, or if I pay someone else to program the computer. All I really care about is selling a quality product, being happy, and going to Paris. Going to Paris would make me happy…programming an arduino board wouldn’t; but I’d love to say that I can! For me, programming arduinos would be the most difficult road I could take to Paris.
If you spend a lot of time thinking about how you wish you had a certain skill, or you always think “I would love to learn that, but I…” but you what? You don’t have the time? The patience? The prerequisite skills? The interest? Ahh, you see, you probably just don’t have the interest! There are so many things in life that I’ve taken a fascination to, and for good reason – because they are high level tasks, and honestly, the future is best suited for those who can accomplish high level tasks. I honestly believe that in as soon as 100 years, everyone will be able to program computers. I look forward to some sort of hybrid future, like Cowboy Bebop or Firefly [yes, I’ve seen every episode of both].
Fascination and Interest are not the same thing! But it took me 1/4th of a lifetime to understand and conclude upon that.
If there is a God, I think her intent was to create intelligent life in the form of robots, and we are simply the eggs. But you know how I think! If you can’t beat em, join em! I’m ready to be turned into a robot, no joke. This is relevant because thoughts like this used to make me sad, stressed, and honestly contributed to my drinking: What does life even matter, for we are just the stepping stones. I read the other day that enlightenment is akin to death. Now that struck a cord with me. Most of the people I meet are not people I relate to. Most people act like their life matters…but the fact is nobodies life matters. That’s the beauty of it. It doesn’t matter bro – just do whatever the fuck you want! AND I KNOW YOU DON’T WANT TO KEEP USING HARD DRUGS AND ALCOHOL.

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
