The ASMR Daily 212

Get Calibrated

Ten days after I turned 21 I fell off of a bicycle and broke my shoulder. When I first went to the emergency room, I don’t exactly remember what happened. They put my arm in a sling and gave me some drugs for pain, but they didn’t put my bones back together. I guess I should specify, because it’s not that I broke a bone – it’s that I dislocated a bone. They call it a separation of my acromion process.

A couple of days? Weeks? Later, I went back to the doctor for a follow up, and when I took my shirt off, so the doctor could examine me, he literally laughed out loud at me. I haven’t had any trust in the medical community since then. My shoulder is still not fixed, and it is quite a painful thing. My back is what hurts actually, not my shoulder. I’ve begun filming videos everyday talking about my addiction recovery journey, and I put those videos on YouTube. If you are not squeamish, you can check out my shoulder there.

I bring this up because I now have another medical problem which I will have to get checked out, but I’m pretty confident that since I don’t have any money, I will not be able to receive decent treatment for this problem, or any problem that I may have; now, in the past, or in the future. There are elections happening all across The United States, and some of the candidates running for office are in favor of socialized medicine. If you want your children to be able to get their shoulders fixed, and you do not plan to generate an income larger than $120,000, I would suggest you seek out a candidate who is in favor of socialized medicine. That being said, if this strange dark mass, which is now two, on my back doesn’t kill me, I might feel obligated to run for some sort of political office. The democratic party is not goal orientated, or aggressive enough. This is a problem I talk about on the latest episode of Spark Twain vs The World. You will be able to find the new episode on Spotify in a few hours.

Last night I talked to Anselm Weber and Rachel Brown, two Floridians running for local political office. Like I said, look for that episode on Spotify in a couple of hours. It’s a good one, and it’s a long one.

If you are having a problem with hard drugs or alcohol, I implore you to understand that you will eventually face medical consequences for your choices [I put a lot of heroin – and whatever it was cut with – up my nose. If I die of some strange disease, that will most certainly have been a contributing factor]. You will regret what you are doing, and i know this because you are reading this blog. If you are reading this blog, that means you are seeking out change. Just do it. Just fucking quit that shit. It doesn’t matter if you have to sell all you’re stuff and move to Alaska. It doesn’t matter if you’re scared. When it come to quitting hard drugs and alcohol, it doesn’t even matter if you’re poor. You can, and should, just do it. I’m sorry if you don’t want to hear that, but there’s no way you can be thinking it’s impossible. You gotta get calibrated, foo.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
