I'm in Love With Third Frame and Cinematic ASMR

Cinematic ASMR has a bright and glorious future. The video I am watching right now gives me rob-zombie-esque vibes. The camera work is specifically what I am talking about. Have you ever seen House Of 1000 Corpses? Oh…yeah, I mean, that movie is nothing like the video I am about to share with you haha, but the camerawork. Today’s video pays homage to The Nightmare Before Christmas, but it would be quite hard to replicate the camera work of a stop-motion production. That being said, Gemma from Moongem ASMR did an amazing job of capturing the essence of The Nightmare Before Christmas with her latest release, and she is definitely bringing good and positive vibes with this one.

There is a lot going on in today’s video. First things first, I love the whirligig organ Gemma used for the intro. Hmm, I probably shouldn’t misinform you. They aren’t really called whirligig organs – that’s just what I call that sound – ‘the whirligig organ sound.’ It’s not even an organ, most likely. Have you ever heard of a Leslie speaker? I’m almost positive that’s a Leslie in the beginning. A guy named Donald Leslie built a speaker in 1941 to make his Hammond organ sound more like one of those massive pipe organs you hear in churches and stuff. You can’t fit a pipe organ in your house. Those things produce sound by sending air through pipes, and the pipes have to be, like…hecka big – as big as the ones you see in churches! So this Leslie guy basically just threw a fan over the speaker for his home organ, and viola! Whirligig sounds for all!

I know I’m getting a little offtrack here, but seriously, check out this quote in regards to the first Pipe Organ in England [we are talking about a Pipe Organ – People have been using pipe organs since ancient Greece, but it wasn’t until 1941 that anyone replicated their sound, making it possible for individuals to possess that sound in smaller venues, and without a HUGE piece of machinery].

“The first organ of which any detailed record exists [in England] was built in Winchester Cathedral in the 10th century. It was a huge machine with 400 pipes, which needed two men to play it and 70 men to blow it, and its sound could be heard throughout the city.”

From around the year 1600 until 1877, the Pipe Organ was the most complex man-made device. Full stop. It’s complexity was only upstaged by the invention of the telephone exchange.

I’m now on my third time listening to Gemma’s video while I write this article. This is definitely good ASMR for writing. I also believe it is good ASMR for falling asleep. Heck! Right now it’s good ASMR for waking up! It’s important to wake up slowly. Me, personally, I am a morning person – through and though! I wake up between five and six in the morning, everyday. Last year at this time I was waking up at three in the morning so that I could go to the Montgomery Block Starbucks and get two hours of writing done before I had to go into work. Are you a morning person, or a night person? I feel like a lot of individuals who overcome addiction either come to be, or find out that they probably always were morning people. And…if you don’t solve your addiction problems, you run the risk of creating mourning people. Not the move.

Wow I can not get over how good this video is! Cinematic ASMR has an very immediate future upon this blog haha. This video is so…did you read my article the other day featuring ASMR August? That video was of August giving another individual a massage, and although some might call that “real person ASMR,” I call it “Third Frame ASMR.” Today’s video – Moongem’s Video – is also Third Frame ASMR. I am really falling in love with the Third Frame style of production. I believe individuals who are interested in ASMR, but have had a hard time embracing the intimate nature of these phenomenal videos, will finally be able to find their stride with Third Frame ASMR.

Thank You Gemma! For producing high quality content – the kind that holds everybody in the ASMR Community to a higher standard. The kind that creates healthy competition, and inspires other creators. The kind that can puts individuals to sleep, but can also prepare them for their day. Thanks for doing what you love.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.
