Problems With Addiction? Adopt The Nomadic Lifestyle

Tarot reading and ASMR go hand in hand, and this is something I have long believed. Tarot Reader ASMR has been a favorite channel of mine for quite some time. She was actually the first Asmrtist I ever contacted! When I left my hometown of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin in 2017 I was writing a blog at heartofzeus.com [which is a semi-dead link right now, but I still own the site], and I sent her an email asking if she could bless my new project with a reading, and she did! Maybe I should embed that video? I think that I will. I’ll embed two! I know I am supposed to only choose one Video Of The Day, but there have been times in the recent past where I have embedded two! Also, I am going to start putting the videos at the bottom of these articles. That way you can read distraction free, and then watch/listen distraction free.

That being said, I have quite a lot of work to do – work that didn’t exist until recently. I’ve just been writing these daily articles for months now without giving too much thought to how I would receive immediate payment, but I’m kind of slipping into a depression of sorts because I can’t figure out how to make money, but I also can’t really hold a job because I have a strange brain and a broken shoulder. If I could go do construction work I would in a second. But that is just not an option for me.

My advice? Start saving as much money as possible. You will know when you need it – perhaps to open a business!

First you identify your problem. Second you generate a solution to the problem. Third you come to terms with your new lifestyle; your lifestyle that now allows you to avoid the problem in the future. Forth you identify a new problem and repeat the process. People often believe they can change their life by simply tweaking one or two things. I mean, sure, you start by tweaking one or two things, but in the long run? No. That’s not how it works. I’m not trying to scare you, but if you plan to overcome addiction, your life is going to be very different on the other side. Look at the pandemic we are in the midst of! Do you believe things will ever “go back to normal?” Nope. Things will never go back to how they were pre-pandemic. Never! Time is linear in a forward moving direction. Which is actually a blessing because if time were not linear, or moved backwards, we would not be able to exist! To better understand that concept you should read some books by Stephen Hawking. There is a short list of books that changed my life, and Stephen Hawking’s books are on the list [I’ve only read two of them].

Things will be different on the otherside of addiction recovery, and I can tell you what the biggest change will be: No More Stagnancy! Yes, you heard me right, you will need adopt the mindset of rapid experimentation. Why? Well…why do you consume drugs or alcohol? In fact, I could probably say drugs and alcohol. The readily available nature of alcohol makes it more dangerous than any other drug on the market, with opioids coming in close second, followed by methamphetamine. At least, that’s how I found the ease-of-access to be ordered. I can get alcohol anywhere, I can get opioids in most places, and I can get methamphetamine in Texas and California. There are other drugs, and all of them can be found and purchased nationwide, but I’m just telling you my reality. Oh, and cannabis’ ease-of-access is located between alcohol and opioids. Sad…cannabis has growing yet minimal health risks, and alcohol kills millions every year.

Why will you need rapid experimentation? I’m hoping you can feel-the-vibe-out on that one. I think people overlook rapid experimentation and a nomadic lifestyle as a way to overcome addiction. Furthermore, I believe that our societies normalization of a non-nomadic lifestyle is one of the underlying causes of addiction! We are naturally nomadic creatures, homo-sapiens. How else would we have ended up on every continent, and across almost every island in the world? It is in our nature to roam, but it is in societies best interests that we do not roam. I’m not trying to get all hippie-dippie on you here, but when you stay in one place and work the same job forever, that typically benefits someone else more than it benefits you, especially if that lifestyle causes you to develop a coping mechanism! I’ve met numerous people that have sold all their stuff and then embarked upon a journey. I met one guy from the Nederlands that rode his bike from Amsterdam to Singapore. Then, several years later, he sold his house and most of his possessions, bought a one way plane ticket to Brasil, and road his bike from Rio de Janeiro to San Francisco, where I met him at the Green Tortoise hostel. Did he have addiction problem? I’m not sure – let’s assume no.

I also met one man who claimed to be the only convicted felon to hold the triple crown of hiking, meaning he hiked the Appalachian Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Pacific Crest Trail. I met him at the Green Tortoise in Seattle. There is also my story, where I sold almost all of my possessions and moved into a hostel in Seattle. Being nomadic is the future, and I believe that individuals who suffer from addiction should consider adopting a nomadic lifestyle right now, at least until they figure out what’s next; at least until you figure out what’s next.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
