A Time To Read

Books are an important part of human history, and that importance continues into today. Personally, I enjoy reading books in their physical form, rather than reading from a kindle, nook, or other digital device. My book collection exceeds 350 books, or something like that. Luckily I saw the sign in the window of Half Price Books in Brown Deer that they were going out of business, and so I was able to purchase about half of my collection at a pretty good deal. Including a bunch of books in plastic bags. Without asking why they were bagged up, I bought all of them; at least in that section.

Of the books she talks about talk, I have read 3, and I was aware of 6. In total there are 10 books recommended for us today. Ten books! My tenth-ago book was…maybe…two years ago? I write a lot more than I read, but I have strong intentions of continuing to read more and more as I grow old.

Sarah Lavender ASMR

Sarah Lavender ASMR is new to my repertoire, but if today’s Video Of The Day is what I can expect from the rest of her channel, know that I will tuning in!

The Princess Bride is one of my favorite movies, and I guess I knew there was a book, but I haven’t thought about it in so long, nigh feels like a lesson more than a memory! The Martian I have always wanted to read, and I have also wanted to watch the movie; I will accept the first one of which those apples falls into my basket. Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring! I have a copy of this book that was due back to a library in West Bend in 2001. Someday I hope to hold the world record for longest overdue library book. East of Eden is one of my favorite books of all time; let’s not talk about how I blew off reading Grapes Of Wrath in high school, and I still haven’t read it! Sapiens is a life changing book for most who read it, and I expect they will someday assign it to students to read in United States Public Schools.

Someone in the comments of the video claims that Sarah Lavender is Gibi’s sister! However after, like, 40 minutes of watching their videos side by side, I am not able to determine there is any truth to that statement. That being said, they do look fairly similar to one-another, specifically in the nose region, and slightly more north to the eye region as well.

The first time I featured Gibi for my VOTD, I had a peculiarly high readership that day, and I suspected perhaps that Gibi’s lawyers came to examine my page lol. Of course, I have no idea if that is true; I don’t even know if she has lawyers! When it comes to ASMR, I consider Gibi to be the hardest working person in the Community, and also the most business orientated.

Sarah Lavender has 26 videos and they are all pretty good to be honest, after having watched a portion of at least half of them. She is going to do well within the ASMR Community, and it won’t have anything to do with an affiliation to Gibi.

Even if they do have similar noses.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
