The ASMR Daily 119
In preparation for writing this article, I did a small amount of research. What I did, you see, was I read this article. It’s really quite good, but be warned! If you are fighting the urge to consume alcohol, you might find that article to be triggering. The author talks fondly of consuming beverages, but he also provides quite a lot of information.
Is that how information gets diluted? One blogger gets info from another, passing it on in there own words, until eventually the words are not what they once were? In truth, I need to start citing my sources, especially when I say things like “AA only works for 10% of people,” and “Aliens drive drunk too.” But forreal, I haven’t made a bibliography since highschool! No time like the present I suppose! You can get ready for bibliographies to be at the bottom of these pages. I’m an alcoholic, not a scientist, but still I expect to be believed. A bib will keep the crumbs of doubt from staining me mediocre reputation.
When it comes to ASMR triggers, nothing to me rings akin quite like the voice of another human, even when I don’t understand the language they are speaking.
Today’s Video Of The Day is perfect for individuals who desire the vibes provided by human connection, without having to dedicate their energy to participating in the vibe. Unless of course you speak Japanese…because then it will be much more difficult for you to maintain any internal dialogue.
For recovering addicts; at least was the case for me, it’s nice to just sit, or lay down, and think about life. The future. The past. The present? That’s the hardest one to deal with. Dealing with the past is a forced hand; you’ve got no choice but to deal with it! The future is easy to think about, and it’s always nice to deal a hand for practices sake. But the present? That is usually the most difficult to deal with. This is why I suggest individuals watch ASMR intensely during the early stages of recovery. It allows you to take a vacation from your own life, and visit someone else’s.
If you are interested to hear more stories about the initial stages of alcohol or addiction recovery, Sober James just did a livestream last night called “Detox or Cold Turkey?” The livestream is more of a hangout session, but he has other videos where he explains his experiences more in depth. There is lots of value on that channel for individuals looking to fight alcoholism or addiction.
Okayokayokay I know I said I was going to put a bibliography on this post, but I’m…not…going to do that. At least tonight! Really what I should do is go back and cite my sources of all my old articles. That sounds like a task-and-a-half. Not looking forward to it lol. Also, I am quite tired. I worry that if I do not take advantage of my tired nature right now, then I might accidentally catch a second wind and, well, I suppose I could do the bibliography, but more than likely I would just end up playing on my phone until the middle of the night. SO! That being said, you can still look forward to my bibliographies, although I’m not sure that’s something you would be looking forward to anyway. Is that why I find it so easy to blow it off? Lol. Idek. My bff Jill.

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
