ASMR Reiki Healing Session
The older I get the more I come to place faith in ancient healing techniques. My parents were never exposed to, and don’t much believe in many forms of spirituality, except for possibly the Catholic stuff, but that’s the stuff that makes the least sense to me. Recently I learned about Ein Sof; from the Kabbalah. As far as the origins of the Universe, the philosophy of Ein Sof is the most logical explanation of the origins of god that I have ever heard. I’m still not necessarily convinced there is a god, but if there is, she must of at one time been nothing. “Nothing realized it was nothing, and then created Something. Nothing and Something created Everything.”
The same person that told me that last quote, and explained to me the above philosophy for which I wrote the extremely short version of, also told me a bit about the healing techniques of Reiki. He was complaining about how individuals can go get an ‘accelerated certificate’ for Reiki, but how those certs are meaningless because he’s met people that have been practicing Reiki for 40 years who are still level two. This man has me convinced: If you are learning Reiki, you should be able to trace the origins of your teaching all the way back to Japan. Remembering of course that Reiki is a healing technique that is thousands of years old; you should literally be able to ask your Reiki instructor who taught them, and then you should be able to find out who taught their teacher, and you should be able to trace those teachings back all the way to one of the originals teachers that moved the art form out of Japan. If you can’t trace your learning back to the roots…what are you even learning? When something is thousands of years old, honor is among the lessons passed down.
That being said, let’s enjoy some Reiki with Silver Hare; one of the best Asmrtists creating content today! I have no idea where he learned his Reiki techniques, but since he isn’t charging for his services [except that you pay with your time if there are advertisements], the vibe I described previously doesn’t apply very heavily here.
Twenty-three minutes is enough time to fight an addictive urge. Let’s say you wake up and you feel like having a drink, but you’ve got to leave for work in 20 minutes. Well, honestly, I suggest playing a video such as the one above, and focusing on the video…and by the time it’s over you’ll have to leave for work, and then just…do that. Don’t spend any time thinking about any thing and you won’t be enticed to drink. Split Second Decisions can get ruin your life, but they can also be your saving grace.
I’ve met so many people that don’t want to put their sobriety front and center. Once, I met a girl who had been sober for 1 year, but she still had the same boyfriend – that drank, and all of her roommates still drank, and she still hungout at the same bars she hungout at before she decided to quit drinking. I told her she should sell all of her stuff and go live on Venice Beach [mind you, this conversation happened in Milwaukee]. She didn’t want to do that. I hope sincerely that she is still sober! But, even if she stayed sober, it seemed unlikely that she was about to find the kind of happiness that I require to stay sober. How can you not decided to literally get rid of everything you own and everyone you love at a chance for sobriety? Are we not talking about life and death here? I don’t like to pit addictions or addicts against each other, meaning: I don’t like to assume that one person needs to change everything while another person might only need to change a little bit, based on the severity of addiction. I like to assume that everybody who is an addict is in dire straits and should toss away their old way of living in favor of something that makes them happy. Perhaps I’m just an optimist.

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
