ASMR For A Great Workflow
Today’s Video Of The Day is one I was playing while writing, and after I had finished my task I thought “Wow! That video really had me focused!”
Gloss and Tingles has, in this video, the perfect mix of sound and silence. She give you personal attention and personal space. When you watch the video you will observe, through potentially all 5 senses, that when GT gets close to you, and applies makeup to your face…silence beckons her touch. So when she gets close on video, she gets further away on audio.
This video, at least for me, is perfect for getting some work done.

This blog is about sobriety, and it’s going to stay that way. The idea is that I show up everyday with a new piece of writing, and through that action, I communicate to you the possibilities which can be unlocked on the other side of overcoming addiction.
This blog is a reminder that it’s not always easy, but it is always possible.
I’m not happy everyday, but I certainly don’t drink alcohol any day of the week, and I remain confident, even after 2 years and 1 month of sobriety, that a return to alcohol would mean having to give up my loves of writing, travel, and cannabis.
That’s right, I smoke cannabis. However, I’ve always known that it is not a way out of addiction. As I stated in yesterdays article: if I do not have control over how much coffee I drink, I am not satisfied. Overcoming addiction is about more to me than simply stopping using drugs and alcohol. Overcoming addiction is about finding my proper balance in life that allows me to be happy. I’m not happy if I drink too much coffee, and I’m not happy if I smoke too much cannabis. I’m not happy if I drink too much alcohol either, but I have come to realize that alcohol changes my brain quickly and acutely, so that having one drink [which for me seems more irrational the further time goes on] will not allow me to properly decide between another drink or not. What I am saying is that I am, in fact, powerless over alcohol…but only while it’s in my body. Cannabis, coffee, kava…these are things I enjoy. Of course I am aware that I could consume them to the point which might be considered harmful, but I maintain a constant vigilance that forces me to assess – often – my happiness on the scenario.
Not only do I participate in the above substances and the rituals that accompany them, but I also participate in traveling, learning, and creating new things. Many addicts simply quit their substance, and then become stagnant. If you sit around wondering what you can do besides drinking, you are not actually doing anything to find out the answer. No Overthinking! That’s the worst mistake an alcoholic or an addict can make. Do not overthink! Just…do shit. But don’t consume your drug of choice! If you are anything like me, you almost always spend time thinking about consumption prior to indulging. This being said, it takes quick actions to avoid falling into the trap that is: an addictive urge.
Quick! Take that walk! [literally, try going for a walk] Once you start it, you’ll be walking, and then before you know it you’ll be back home! With a new mindset, and a new state-of-mind! Then you can do other things instead of sitting around and thinking about drinking. Things like watching ASMR, or reading, or practicing Yoga with Adrienne.

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

Don’t underestimate the power of Yoga! Specifically Yoga With Adriene. My shoulder is broken, and so you can do some Yoga for me too. I really wish I could…
If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
