The ASMR Daily 130

Tie-Dying Alcoholics Anonymous Symbol

Today’s Video Of The Day is not an ASMR video…I hope that doesn’t break your heart. Fret not! You are at the right place! This is ASMR.Community, and here you will find [or you are already finding] a new blog post everyday where I select one video from the internet and I write a little bit about the video in relation to addiction and alcoholism recovery and awareness. My name is Spark Twain, and I love you.

Over the past several weeks I’ve been working on one of the most important projects of my life; it’s important because I am proud of it. Over the past two+ weeks I have tyedyed and screenprinted over 50 shirts all by myself. I purchased the materials and equipment – first for screenprinting, second for tyedying. Today I finished screenprinting my last shirt! And now I will move forward with learning how to use Woocommerce, and hopefully within one-weeks time [that’s a long estimate], there will be totally awesome tyedye shirts for sale on this website!

In my eyes, I view it like this: You’re supporting the fight against addiction, and in return you get a free shirt. So…that’s a large part of the justification for my price. I am also selling high quality shirts, printed on Hanes Beefy T’s…the blank t-shirts I bought were made in Haiti, and unfortunately I do not know the conditions of the factory. Once I am able to, I am going to go back to Vietnam, and personally tour the factory before I move forward with having my shirts produced there. I definitely plan to build this company from the ground up. It’s called ASMR Apparel. I will create my own tech-pack [like a blueprint for garments], and have my own blank t-shirts proudly made in Vietnam [probably Vietnam, but I definitely trust the quality and ethics of Vietnam. Besides, they practically let you smoke weed in that country! It reminds me of California how chill it is]. Using the blank t-shirts I create, I will be able to print and sell shirts for not only this blog, but also my personal blog, and I intend to print t-shirts for asmrtists. So will be a store with ethically made clothing that, really, anybody could choose to print with. But! I will be focusing mainly on Asmrtists, because, well…it’s important to have a focus in business, otherwise you might get lost in the sauce. I ain’t getting lost in no sauce ever again.

Really, I just want to make enough money to support myself as a writer. However, with everything I’ve learned about money over my lifetime, I know that when you become one with your income, you usually end up with more than you bargained for. That being said, I want you to put my ass to work! Making these tyedye shirts was really a fun time! However, there is no need for me to have 50 tyedye shirts…and it would be even more absurd for me to create more shirts when I already have 50! Did I mention they don’t all look the same?

In concurrence with my finishing of the first portion of the project about which I write, I would like to share with you one of the individuals whose videos I have been watching, in order to learn how the process is done. Mr. Tiedye is his name…can you guess his game?

Short, sweet, and to the point. He has some tutorials that are like two hours long! But! I know you’re savvy, and so if you want to watch the rest of his videos, now you know where to find them! Perhaps you decided to tiedye your way to sobriety? It’s not impossible. I believe strongly that finding a passion before you quit, or as you are quitting, is a great way to help stay motivated, busy, and on track.

A long time ago, when I was still drinking but had begun to fight my way out of it, I purchased wood carving knives from a Swedish company. They were good knives! Sadly, I never got too much into wood carving. I turned a couple of sticks into what looked like magic wands, but I didn’t really dedicate myself to learning the craft. But! The important thing is that I had started my process of rapid experimentation, and that process is one of the factors that ultimately led to my sobriety. Writing a blog, traveling, and meeting new people turned out to work much better for me than wood carving and working at an autoparts store. Everybody has their own path to sobriety, and so that’s why I have introduced you to Mr. Tiedie today. Because, sure, maybe you like ASMR, but maybe you need more. Maybe you need to listen to ASMR while you tiedie! Maybe…

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
