Sobriety For ASMR Vikings

Today we have one of the most original ASMR videos I have ever seen. The only thing close to a quarrel I would have, is that the video is designed to be for men, as she uses the word ‘man’ in the video. However, I don’t feel like she is appealing to people’s emotions with this piece of content, and so I must applaud her execution on creating an ASMR video geared towards men. I understand the uniqueness of a men’s barbershop vs a women’s salon. I also understand there is a difference between men and women. I have nothing more to say on the subject lol.

Ruby True ASMR

Have you ever seen that show Vikings? I used to watch it with my grandma. Those were good days. I miss my grandma, but you know what? Life goes on.

It’s true, that recently, I’ve been feeling in a deep slump, but I sometimes wonder if the whole world is feeling this way due to the pandemic. It’s been few and far between recently.

Really…she watched the show more than I.

Television is a real bonding experience for some people, and I always get left out. I don’t really enjoy watching TV. I feel like the more TV I watch in my youth, the more I will have to work a minimum wage job when I am 80 years old. My plan for retirement is actually to watch all the shows I’ve missed: Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Lost, Full Metal Alchemist. I’ve got a pretty long mental list going of shows I want to watch when I “finally have the time.” At least, that’s how I think about it. I guess if I really wanted to watch the shows, I would just do it. Alas…

My family has always wanted to bond over TV, and it makes me so sad, because I think TV takes time away from families, not helps them spend it together. Hmm, actually though, my grandmother and I shared the bond over TV. Can’t seem to replicate that with anyone else though.

What about watching ASMR? How does that compare with watching television? Well, I think ASMR is a little different. First of all, it isn’t masterminded to get me addicted to watching it. Well…usually. Or, at least, it didn’t used to be. Sometimes I think the ASMR created today is designed to be addictive, not relaxing. Albeit addictions can be relaxing, but they are not as satisfying as mindfulness and mental clarity.

Today’s Video Of The Day does not strike me as addictive, and one reason I feel this way is because, as I stated way at the top of this article, Ruby True doesn’t feel like she’s trying to manipulate my emotions. You will never hear me say the name of an artist I don’t agree with. I don’t call individuals out, I just leave them nameless, and even as I write this I have no particular artist, or even any series of artists in mind. I am certain however, that I have gotten bad vibes from some ASMR videos, but not this one, and not this asmrtist, and I am assuming the rest of the series also has good vibes [the 4th addition of the series probably hits a little different tho].

Today’s video could actually help you kick an addiction, as it’s meant to bring you back to full health!

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
