Want To Hear Something Crazy?

Want to hear something crazy? I haven’t even chosen a Video Of The Day yet! Still, I have confidence we can get through this together, and in due time, we will discover an ASMR video suitable for today’s lesson. I’m thinking I’ll choose a Sand Cutting video. Is there even a category for that on the blog yet? I’m thinking not! All the time I am adding new categories, but I never go back and add the old posts into those new corresponding categories. Someday…someday.

Since April 1st I have been calling this “my blog,” but from here forward, the move will be to call it “our blog.” Because it is, in truth, all of our blog. What belongs to me is the quest to better help you find success in regards to sobriety. Remember, sobriety is different for everybody, but success is the same for everybody. Ugh, and you know, I feel like that statement can be very confusing, but I still stand by it! Success is the same for everybody because it is self-determined, and it won’t be confused with failure.

Individuals in Alcoholics Anonymous [or other addiction recovery programs] might view my success in regards to overcoming alcoholism as a failure. Quite often I phrase this thought: I stopped going to AA because I didn’t feel guilty about showing up stoned, yet, those individuals within the meetings might have been triggered by the scent of cannabis, and even more so triggered by my talking about it. Alcoholics Anonymous doesn’t align with the Weed Water and Apples philosophy I have adopted. I consume all three of those things, and I feel no shame for any of it.

Overall, the topic is convoluted, because cannabis is addictive. However, so is sugar, and so is coffee. Individuals in recovery have never been chastised for partaking in either caffeine or sweets. We don’t believe they should be chastised for partaking in cannabis either. However, we must maintain constant vigilance, and remember that anything can be used to excess.

Honestly, I’m still sitting at the same kava bar, and it’s like 4 hours later, and I still haven’t chosen us an ASMR video for today [now it’s wayyyy later, and I’ve chosen one, and I’ve input it about]. Is this telling? It most certainly it is. Hopefully you are not worried because of this.

The videos are extra…because the success is already inside of you.

You don’t need ASMR videos to get sober. In fact, you don’t even need this blog to get sober. What you need, in order to find success regarding sobriety, is faith and confidence…in yourself. Sobriety, and further than that success, is a holistic venture. We can observe this from the highest levels of success, to the lowliest. CEO’s of large companies and number crunching scientists often adopt strange habits, but once you see the way, and you see it in everything, you will realize there is not one strange thing in this world.

Some things are different, and some things are bad, but nothing is strange unless you believe it to be.

At the other end of that, we can observe a homeless individual that has pulled themselves out of disparity. Without knowing the situation exactly, can you not understand that said homeless individual would have had to make large, sweeping, holistic changes in their life?

You might not start out happy [on the path to sobriety], but you will certainly end that way.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.


Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.
