The ASMR Daily 137

Licking Honey Makes The Bee's Feel Weird

You know, the number one advertisement I get while watching ASMR is for a “Virtual Lover,” and let me tell yall…it doesn’t upset me, but I do understand it. It’s got me thinking that ASMR must be sexual, otherwise why would so many people be using it to try and sell sex, right?

I’ve been watching ASMR videos for over seven years. When I first started watching ASMR, I did not consider it sexual at all. However, these days, I can simplify the relationship between ASMR and sex down to one sentence. Are you ready? Haha. It’s only one sentence, but I worry it will take me a lifetime to explain:

ASMR is in the eye of the beholder, and if one finds it pleasant to be considered of sexual nature, it is downright wrong to make that individual feel guilty about such feelings.

On the other side of that coin, you’ve got the fact that ASMR is forsure, 100%, with certainty, and beyond any arguable point not always sexual.

However for some people, some of the time, ASMR is definitely sexual. Trust me though! That doesn’t ruin ASMR as a whole. In fact, it only strengthens the phenomenon.

This is confusing. You know, and I am writing this in the wee hours of the morning, because I feel it to be my civic duty to write these daily articles.

When I quit alcohol, I was alone. Sure, I had supportive parents, and doctors, and friends. Still however, I was alone. None of those people were actually able to give me any logical answers, they were simply able to comfort me. Well, I don’t need comforting from those humans, what I need from those humans is logical connection. I get my comfort from ASMR…I guess. Actually, that point is moot. My friends, family, and paid physicians all wanted to help me, but why couldn’t they? Yet, I site the same resources that they provided as the resources that helped me quit, except I cite them through the medium of ASMR – and I never use ASMR in a sexual fashion. Actually, that’s not true. I wrote an article about it, which I am practically embarrassed about, but I am not allowed to delete any of my writing. I am programmed in a fashion that does not allow for self destruction of my writing.

My work on ASMR and it’s relation to sex will, apparently, be ground breaking. Not because the work or the thinking about it or the writing of it is difficult, but because nobody else seems to be moving forward with what I am moving forward with. Sorry; what we are moving forward with. If you are reading this, and ASMR is helping you [or even if it isn’t, but clearly by reading this article you are expressing an interest in ASMR], it doesn’t matter if you find ASMR sexual or not. Well, at least to me it doesn’t. I will never judge you on that! And I think that the people who read this blog, and align themselves with these writings; those individuals will never judge you either!

If you find ASMR sexual or not is, I believe, a decision that is out of your hands. I am under the impression we should not be forced to control how we feel in regards to our sexual desires, but for the sake of morality and the love of humanity, we should control how we act upon them.

You should not rape your computer. When it wakes up, it will not appreciate how it’s been treated.

Also, if you make ASMR, and put it out into the ether, you have no control over how individuals will use that ASMR, and it’s possible you will never be able to undo your sharing of said content. If you do not want your ASMR to be sexualized, you can mitigate your risk by creating certain types of videos, however overall you have no control how people view, interpret, or use your content. So if you feel like people might just be using their computers [or mobile phones] as ‘middle men’ in raping you, well…it will not do well for your mental health to continue creating ASMR.

Do you think I’m happy that I had to write that? Absolutely not! But dammit, I must speak my truth!

ASMR Cherry Crush

Cherry Crush is the Queen of using ASMR to sell sex…and if she gets offended by my saying that, then I will be forced to conclude upon a huge disconnect between the two of us. There is absolutely no problem with using ASMR to sell sex. The problem is telling ourselves that ASMR can never be sexual!

There is a disclaimer in the description of every one of her videos that says: “My ASMR is NOT meant for fetishization or sexualization purposes. My ASMR videos are meant to help to sleep and for relaxation.”

Cherry Crush knows that there is a time and place for everything.

Are we all wondering if that disclaimer is there only so individuals can keep making money? Well, I’ll tell you: we are not ready for that conversation…which should be even easier than the conversation about ASMR and Sex haha!

Until we have a conversation about ASMR and Money, we can not have a true and honest conversation about ASMR and Sex. The only logical answer is that YouTube is not the place for ASMR. We need to create a new site that is 100% dedicated to ASMR. There will be a section for artists that want to use ASMR to sell sex, and there will be a section for asmrtists that aspire to help the world deal with mental afflictions and issues. Can there be a section for individuals creating ASMR that are under 18? Haha. Okay, I’ll leave it at that for the day. We have a lot to think about, and it might not even be within my lifetime that the world comes to agree with me on the subject of ASMR, but still, I must write how I feel.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
