The One Where Ink's Fun

Today’s video has helped me maintain sanity through deep and dark situation. On the surface, I looked normal and healthy. Inside my body however, in 2013, alcoholism was taking it’s toll. It’s curious to ponder upon how a video about ink, with a self-proclaimed old man describing the substance and its varieties to me, allowed for more radiant steps out of alcoholism than any other addiction recovery programs or methods I found.

When I first began my journey into listening to ASMR, I knew what I was enjoying was weird, but I weighed how that made me feel against how alcoholism made me feel. These matters affected one-another, because with ASMR I was able to spend swaths of time staring at a screen or simply listening to sounds created by other humans, and this was taking place of my daily and rampant alcohol consumption.

For many years now I have told people I have a superpower, and my superpower is: I don’t get embarrassed. This aligns with my principle: the most difficult things you will do in your lifetime, are the things that put you outside of your comfort zone, and although I conceived that myself, I believe it to be true of all humans that maintain their generally-termed freewill, and I also believe I am not the first human to have thought that thought. I thought maybe I was the first person to blog about it, but that seems unlikely as well.

If I got embarrassed, I wouldn’t be able to ramble so much. Think about that; A world without rambling men! Is it possible I’m not the only person who is embarrassless? Perhaps I am the first person to philosophizes about embarrasslessness. We won’t know until…well we won’t know until we know!

While I’m over here talking about duels of my [and perhaps your] inner mind, Relaxing ASMR actually went ahead and made weird videos! I mean I love ASMR yall – it allowed for a common medium of search phrase the world across so that I could reach the healers which I apparently needed – but it is weird af. It’s not weird forever, but I believe that when most people first encounter ASMR, they perceiving what they are consuming as weird, or at least unusual. My first reaction was “how will people think of me for enjoying this stuff?”

It’s strange that I am announcing to you that that was my initial reaction to ASMR, because I am kind of discovering it for myself as I search my mind palace. That’s not the strange part though, the strange part is that I recently saw a map that color-coded the worlds countries into three categories based on how their cultures are motivated. what motivates culture map. America was blue, signifying we are motivated by guilt. India was yellow, signifying they are motivated by shame. Venezuela was the only country in red, signifying motivation through fear. The first time I encountered ASMR, I had to decide if I felt shame, and I decided that was not an emotion I felt in regards to this new discovery that I loved. I have no idea if the color coded map means anything or is even accurate. But it is from a cute Instagram page.

Relaxing ASMR

So we return and ask again the question, why does a man and his love of ink enrich in me a love of life and passion for patience? Okay, so maybe that isn’t the same question we asked the first time. But you know what? I now longer care to know the answer for either question!

The answer is scientific, I am sure of this. The world across, ASMR is a brand new research being funded. What started off as an online phenomenon will soon be considered practical medical care. With today’s Video Of The Day, we take it back to the roots of ASMR. Allow yourself to be immersed in the world of ink; into the world of Relaxing ASMR.

It is likely there are many years between the age of Relaxing ASMR and yourself. When you sit back and think about all the experiences you’ve had, and then consider all the possible experiences you will have before you are the age Mr. Relaxing, it’s literally laughable that you could be worried about anything. The journey is the best part! You’re probably not going to die, and I believe this because I witness people living everyday in the world around me. Most of the dead people I know, are dead because of drug or alcohol related issues. Most. That isn’t to say you won’t kick the bucket tomorrow, and so why not live it up? But you must maintain constant vigilance in regards to your holistic wellness. Hardwork good, and hardwork find, but first take care of head.

In America we work, and then we work some more. I won’t lie to you, with everything I’ve learned in my 28 years of living and loving and leaping, I’ve definitely seen it demonstrated that the most successful people have skills. It’s only when individuals combine their practiced skills with their practiced confidence stepping outside of their comfort zones that the great successes may be achieved. A skillset, some confidence, and the ability to network at least a little are three traits that all humans of the future can adapt and succeed with. Patience, which is not a virtue, extends to all three of these. Today we focus on patience. Enjoy the ink.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.
