Goodmorning! At least it is for me ladies and gentlemen. Yesterday, on April Fools day of all days, I made some changes to this website and, in the process, deleted all the content. Instead of uploading all at once, I decided to upload things one by one again, at least for the Video of the Day series, which was short lived on it’s original run. Since this article originally came out in December, and it’s April…that means I didn’t consistently release one #votd per day lol.

In truth! I could do less writing about each video, and then the task telling yall about one new video per day would seem less daunting. I would like to do you the favor of selecting one video, everyday, that I believe can help you deal with problems, such as alcoholism. Not all ASMR is created equal, and some ASMR is more purpose driven than others. Somebody’s gotta sort through it all!

So! This website, which was strictly a blog about using ASMR to overcome Alcoholism and Drug addiction, well, it wants to be much more. I can feel it. Can you feel it!? ASMR.COMMUNITY HUNGERS! FOR MORE! 

For our second video of the day, we decided something in the spirit of December was required. Who better, we thought, to bring forth seasonal tides, than AccidentallyGraceful?

Literally, nobody.

So it was decided, but which contribution?

Going down the list of her videos, it jumped right out.

For a long time she has been one of my favorite asmrtists. Showcasing myriad skills; the healer, the producer, the artist, the teacher. Grace, of AccidentallyGraceful, has a beautiful soul that vibrates you with every one of her contributions to the community. Seriously! Her videos are beyond perfect, each one a work of art that will stand the test of time. 

If you follow her on Instagram, you know she has a happy, healthy baby. 

Here at asmr.community, we understand the importance of family, and we want to wish her grand blessings as she continues to take care of hers.

The latest video on her channel is Unboxing The Rode NTG3 Microphone. But by the time she uses that microphone again, a new model will be out! [See, that was a joke, because she went, like, a whole year without posting a video. She is getting more active again now though].

Nonethematter. 

As mentioned, her contributions are timeless. If this is your first time hearing about AccidentallyGraceful, know that there are many hours of videos to get lost in; to get tingles from. You haven’t missed anything. Perhaps even, she just  knew you needed to catch up!

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
