The ASMR Daily 39

To say that I have never masturbated while listening to a video labeled “ASMR” would be a big fat lie. It’s not like I masturbate to the sounds of ASMR often, but I definitely have, and furthermore I am not ashamed of it, nor do I believe it degrades the asmrtists whose sounds I choose to indulge in. In fact, I believe that removing the visual stimuli of self-pleasure will help to re-sensitize the world! The stuff I see in pornography is not an accurate depiction of what sex is like in real life, at least for most people.

The final stage of sexual enlightenment is upon us, I can feel it in the soul of our humanity. To say that ASMR does not prompt the thought of sexual desires is only prolonging that sexual enlightenment.

Welcome to ASMR.Community. This blog is about using ASMR to overcome addiction. [After writing this article, I realized that maybe I am not direct enough in inviting people to read my blog specifically for the purpose of overcoming addiction. *Quit your level 10 addictions and trade them out for something lesser; get addicted to ASMR!*].

Pornography can be addictive, although I believe it is not as dangerous to your immediate health as alcoholism. In fact! I often write that using pornography to overcome alcoholism is a viable option for some people.

Today, our #votd is from Karuna Satori.

Karuna Satori

I have written about Satori several times, but never published anything. You see, Satori is not only a popular asmrtist, she is also a very popular cam girl [top 1% on OnlyFans]. For longer than I’ve been writing this blog, I’ve known that asmr and sex need to be discussed on an open platform, but I never knew how to proceed with the conversation. That is, until I learned Satori is a cam girl. With or without this article, she was to become the face of what will be the ASMR sexual revolution [I am realizing that the sexualization of ASMR is going to be a l o n g running topic on this blog].

Karuna Satori surprised the shit out of me this morning when she sent out this tweet:

Satori and myself are treated very differently by society. She’s a girl, and I’m a boy. Or is she a woman and I’m a man? Sometimes I just can’t tell. According to this article about The Gendered Brain, we both have the same brain. However, I conclude that from birth until death, our experiences, and how we relate them to sex, will be entirely different. For instance, I have never been catcalled. Also, I traveled solo through India without any worry of being assaulted or raped. On the other side of things, I cannot create human life. [I’m not saying that women shouldn’t travel India solo, but it is a known danger within the backpacking community].

While I lived in Kolkata for a month I used the train as my main form of transit. Only months prior to my discovering the complexities of Park Circus Station, a woman had been brutally gang raped on the side of the tracks. If I had witnessed such diabolical doings, you can bet I would have risked my life to stop it. I’m sure many of my fellow Americans would have done the same thing. Why didn’t any of the people at the train station stop the rape? Actually, two other men saw the incident, but instead of help, they took part.

There is a massive difference between the cultures of America and India, and it’s unfortunate that rape is part of the conversation, but it is [even though the rate of rape in The United States is much higher than India]. Some might say that it’s Modi’s fault. Others would say that it’s definitely Modi’s fault. Either way, in India, men are in charge. However…everyone knows that will not still be the case in 100, or even 50 years, right? Because…internet.

ASMR has the unique ability to bridge cultural gaps.

Let’s say there in a man in India, and he can not watch porn because, well, his moral compass will not let him do such a thing [porn is not completely legal in India. In China, pornography is illegal entirely…and so is ASMR. Porn is also illegal in Saudi Arabia]. Let’s assume, for the sake of of this argument, that this man is going to grow up and become a rapist. Okayokayokay so let’s say that this ‘future rapist’ discovers ASMR, and for some reason he finds sexual pleasure in it…probably because he has been deprived of a sexual education. Is it not better that he uses these newfound ASMR videos to curb his sexual desires? What would be the alternative? REMEMBER we are talking about somebody that can not watch porn or…or…jeez! He just fucking can’t! I don’t understand it! For the purposes of this article however, we are assuming that this person absolutely cannot bring themselves to watch pornography…but they find no problems masturbating to the ear-licking sounds of ASMR. Should we really be making this individual feel shame by telling them that ASMR is cannot be sexual? The fact of the matter is, it will never be decided by the asmrtist if the listener finds the content sexual, that is to be determined by the consumer in full. The solution is to be proactive about bringing the subject up. If we don’t want our content to be taken as “sexual,” then we need to be extra vigilant.

I’m saying that if people want to view ASMR as sexual, we should let them have that win [we are going to have to embrace the sexualization of ASMR before we can use it to fix the world].

I am quite certain that Karuna Satori and I would be on the same page with this. Education is the key to victory! I do not believe the blanket statement: “ASMR is not sexual” is the right way to go about education. The fact of the matter is: ASMR can definitely be sexual, and rather than make people feel guilty for deriving sexual pleasure from ASMR, let’s guide those individuals in the right direction; Karuna does! There is a link to her OnlyFans page in the description of every one of her videos.

Now, let’s talk about why a link would have not been enough to convince me.

Learning has always been a slow process for me. I’m the type of individual that wouldn’t go to Satori’s OnlyFans account without verbal invitation [I’m speaking as a younger man], even if she infatuated me, and I truly did want more. I just wouldn’t have had the confidence to explore something new like that! And you know what? I’ve been editing this paragraph all day, and I still don’t fully understand why I wouldn’t have clicked the link…but I’m certain I wouldn’t have clicked. However I would have loved it if a women tried to educate me on the subject of why I should click the link. I do not think I am alone on this feeling.

The people who create ASMR make me feel very comfortable, and for that reason I would feel bad going to their 18+ pages without extra permission. Iknowiknow that doesn’t make any sense. But I stand firmly by all of this. At 27 years old, I have become aware that life includes no handouts, and so if you want something you’ve really got to go for it. Still, if I had been watching an ASMR video in 2014 [back when I literally relied on ASMR to survive] and the artist, at the end of the video, said something like “Now, as you all know, this channel is dedicated to your relaxation and good vibes, but I know that some of you dirty devils out there have been having dirty thoughts since I first talked about this tattoo [points to boob]. I would like to let you know that I also have a place on the internet where you can see the more intimate side of me, and you can meet me there if you just follow the link in the description. But shh! Don’t tell anyone else. That’s my job!”

Perfect! It would have led to my asking questions. It also would have led to me masturbating, probably, which would have made me feel very comfortable asking the questions. All of my sexual knowledge was gained in an intimate setting. My parents didn’t teach me shit about sex. I didn’t get a birds-and-bees talk or anything like that [my parents were never married, and only briefly lived together]. For some reason, I automatically assume women don’t like me, and I’ve grown to wonder if that somehow has to do with the terrible sexual education I received. Again, no shame. I had a base education that allows me to go out and learn things on my own. I’m one of the lucky ones.

This article isn’t about me though! However, I know there are many young men who feel how I once felt. I used to think if I walked up to a girl and kissed her, that it was basically rape. I have grown to learn that assumption is obviously very wrong. Every time I’ve ever asked a girl if I could kiss her, she has said “you don’t have to ask.” Everytime. If you can’t tell the difference between sexual assault and following your heart, then you have much to learn. I write about this stuff all the time on my personal blog, and I have to stand by what I write, because I’m a good fucking person. It took me a long time to have the confidence to say that, but it’s definitely true. Are you a good person?

“It’s probably better to be searching for the right path, than confidently walking the wrong one.”

TippyTappyASMR

I have two cousins with autism. I’m not sure if they listen to ASMR, but if they did, how do you think they would feel to learn that their favorite asmrtist also got naked on the internet and charged people to watch? I’m a grown ass man, and I can totally handle that, but I’m not sure how a kid would feel. I think it would screw with their emotions to find out the hard way. One day they would be telling their friends about their favorite asmrtist, and then one of the kids on the playground would say: “Ha! You mean the girl who’s famous on OnlyFans?”

Karuna, you talk about how people will eventually grow beyond jealousy. I grew beyond jealousy, but when I talk to other people about it, they just cannot see the future. I think that sexual education through the very intimate medium of ASMR is the friggin answer!

To conclude: ASMR can be sexual, and rather than saying over and over and over again that “ASMR is not sexual!” Why don’t we just admit that, unfortunately, what is and what is not sexual can only be decided by the consumer. My mom looked at Victoria’s Secret magazines not because they had naked women in them, but because of they had clothed women in them. That didn’t stop me from using those magazines for an entirely different perpose.

Embracing the sexualization of ASMR is what the world needs. Thank god we are giving it to them!

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
