The ASMR Daily 47
When I was about 10 years old I got in a lot of trouble for watching the movie Moulin Rouge! My mom had been talking about the movie a lot, how could I not decide to watch it?!? Not only her though, everybody was talking about the movie! It had just come out the previous year, and if you were not aware, the movie is based on a Parisian Cabaret.
Boy oh boy, I feel deep into a rabbithole of learning just now. First I went to the Moulin Rouge! Wikipedia page, and then I went to the page for the cabaret that is Moulin Rouge, and then I went to search for what a Cabaret is, andandthenthen I looked up the difference between Cabaret and Burlesque. DUDES AND DUDETTES! Ahem…I’m sorry, but you are going to have to go down that rabbit hole yourself lol. I am not prepared to do a research intensive article right now; subject being of the movie Moulin Rouge! I’m running on EST [eastern standard time]. Haha, and even looking up Eastern Standard Time got me a little confused. Uhh…I guess I am now under the belief that we should abolish daylight savings time, worldwide! I’ve never really cared much one way or the other, but I mean…early to bed and early to rise, leads to sheep working 9 to 5. FUNFACT Arizona does not participate in Daylight Savings Time. It’s not like I’m going to move to AZ though. Have you ever been there? It’s really hot, and there’s a massive hole in the ground within it’s northern portion.
Feel free to let us know what you think by leaving a comment on Instagram or Twitter. Specifically in regards to daylight savings time, but all comments will be read.
This was not where I wanted this article to go lol. Sometimes however, I just can’t help it! I love to write, and what comes out, comes out. That’s all there is too it. Remember! The objective of this website is to be present for you seven days per week. For better or for worse, you can count on ASMR.Community to maintain some continuity! If you are a sufferer of alcoholism or drug addiction, I want you to know that this blog is inspired by you.
This website has only been working it’s current model since April, and I still have no idea who reads this blog. I can see that people are showing up, but since I don’t know anything more than that, I am to assume that I am probably not reaching my intended audience yet [alcoholics and addicts that need someone there for them everyday]. This would be because the people who enjoy ASMR are usually not addicts and alcoholics; those people are preoccupied with finding pleasure in other ways. SO! If you are reading this, and even if you are 15 years old, I encourage you: when you meet people that are afflicted in negative ways by drugs or alcohol, encourage them to try using ASMR to better their life.
I should warn you, that when you tell an addict or alcoholic that they need to make a change in their life, they are going to get angry with you; they might never talk to you again! There are people that told me I needed to stop drinking, and even though they were correct, and in the end I did stop drinking, I still don’t talk to some of those people. Does it make sense? Absolutely not. Am I here to help you understand how the mind of a drug addict and severe alcoholic works? 100% YES!
Oopsydaisy! We got off track. WAYYY off track. Nonetheless, it matters not. I post one of these articles everyday, and soon, this one will be buried into the stack of ASMR rambles which constitutes asmr.community. And, let’s be real, it’s not like I’m going to run for president someday, so saying minorly foolish things is not something I am worried will come back to haunt me.
Something similar can be said as a reminder for the people making ASMR videos! I encourage you all to say outlandish things that you might regret in the future, because those are the conversations which help heal society the most.
OOPSYDAISY I just can’t seem to keep focused today.
Oopsydaisy is the creator of today’s Video Of The Day…
Her French accent is very good. I’ve never been to France, but I have met hundreds of people from there; between working at several hostels, and traveling to Asia where I met other travelers, many of them from France.
It’s safe to say that most people can ‘pick up’ on the French accent, meaning that they can determine if someone speaks French natively just by talking to them, but I don’t know many people that can pull off replicating the accent unless they can really speak French.
How much French can you speak, Oopsydaisy? Your accent sounds to me, like it is impeccable. I really enjoyed today’s VOTD! Of course, I always enjoy the videos I post about, but I was really surprised at how relaxing I found the application of a French accent to be! I had to pause the video so I could focus on writing this article, but now I am going to publish this article, and then I am going to watch/listen to the rest of the video.
Thanks for your contributions to the ASMR Community, Oopsydaisy, and I look forward to writing about you again.

Everyday Soriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

He does a livestream every night at 21:00 Eastern Standard Time, and his live streams are a great place to receive support, gain motivation, and listen to encouragement in regard to addiction recovery. His program is based on the Twelve Steps.
SMART Recovery is another great program for individuals who are ready to tackle their addictions.

Don’t underestimate the power of Yoga! Specifically Yoga With Adriene. My shoulder is broken, and so you can do some Yoga for me too. I really wish I could…
If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
