The ASMR Daily 53

Do you ever feel like the universe aligns you especially well with asmrtist’s suited for helping you? As members of The Community we don’t just watch ASMR, we participate in ASMR. You are not simply a bystander to the tingles which are resonating through your headphones! It’s more personal than that. You are, like I said, participating in the video, just as much as you are watching it. Because when you consume ASMR, you also motivate the asmrtist behind the video to continue their work. The best ASMR results in both the viewer and the creator catching a vibe.

If you are unfamiliar with that reason I create these Video Of The Day article’s every single day, I’ll tell you: it’s to give addicts and alcoholics a little slice of hope, encouragement, and motivation every single day.

I remember all too well the daily suffering of alcoholism. Can the cure be found in these articles? Not alone. It takes a power of will strong enough to pry open the gates of hell and climb out aflame, leaving only a trail of self-mortified ashes left in your wake.

I’m saying it takes will power.

I’m saying it’s not easy.

ASMR helped me escape the clenching jaws of addiction. Alas, it only helped. ASMR did not serve as the main catalyst of my recovery. Nonono, the main catalyst of my recovery was willpower. So keep watching these videos everyday, and keep reading the articles, but also maintain constant vigilance in regards to your addictions. I will talk more in-depth about maintaining vigilance in the near future. I don’t want to damped the vibe too much, because today is a very special day for both of us [you, and me]. We are discovering a new asmrtist together, and I’ll tell you: this artist blew my expectations out of the water, and into the sky. She’s good. Really good.

Let’s not forget that it also takes willpower to start an ASMR channel [this is a friendly reminder to click the ‘like button” on her video. That’s the thumbs-up symbol. You’ll know you’ve done the right thing when the thumbs-up turns blue].

Starling ASMR

Starling ASMR has elevated ASMR to a whole new level with her content. I mean, let’s get real, she only just pulled onto the scene in October of last year. In YouTube years, that’s not a very long time.

I would venture to say that one “YouTube Year” is the equivalent of three normal years; one year that you or I are used to experiencing. This mean YouTubers have to work three times as hard to accomplish their goals.

Have you ever heard that most businesses close within their first 5 years?

How long do you think most YouTube channels exist before they close?

Exactly.

So to have arrived only 8 months ago and be creating content that is this well thought out, and this well executed, signifies a knack for the craft which cannot be taught, but is simply innate.

When it comes to ASMR, I love videos with music! So today’s VOTD had me hooked immediately, using a slight variation of a classical song I know, love, and find beyond pleasant. From the intro she moves to a drafting/drawing scene, followed by an introduction and some face time; another scene cut, and then we get a role play for rest of the video. Her dialogue is great! Some of the videos I have watched, in an attempt to put them on this blog, have had such cringe-worthy dialogue that even if the video was well produced and creative, the lack of realistic dialogue left the asmrtist dead in the water.

The remarkable organization of different elements to achieve a constantly engaging video is why I look forward to featuring Starling ASMR on this blog again. And again. And many more times after that.

Keep making kick-ass content Starling. If you film it, they will come.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
