The ASMR Daily 71

Some voices rise above the rest, and Layla from Trigger The Tingles ASMR has an amazingly unique and comforting voice; the kind that is perfect for ASMR.

Since releasing her first video in March of 2017, Layla has come garner over 8.9 million views, with over 62k subscribers.

Why I believe medical ASMR to be, on average, better than other varieties of ASMR? I know not. However I can tell you with certainty, that when I find a new ASMR channel, I get a little more excited when they have a medical video in their recent uploads.

Today is a lucky day, because the 3rd most recent video from Trigger the Tingles is, you guessed it! a Medical Roleplay.

Trigger The Tingles ASMR

As I watched today’s Video Of The Day, I became heavily enthralled in the actions of Layla. Her confidence shines through the video, and allows me as the consumer, to be more confident in my listening.

Everything she does, from light following to asking questions and acting surprised, Trigger the Tingles makes me feel not just like I am watching a video, but like I am in the room with her. There are a lot of good asmrtists, but Layla is great.

It’s our 12th day of supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement here at asmr.community. For two more days we will be featuring only Black Asmrtists, which is a term I switched too after using ‘Asmrtists of Color’ for most of these two weeks.

Have we all learned something since the death of George Floyd? I sure hope so. I’ve learned that racism is a bigger problem than I thought it was in America, even though I already thought it was a big problem. I’ve learned that the police really do need to be overhauled, dismantled, and reassembled with a totally different purpose in mind, because what I have witnessed on the news and through social media over these past two weeks has been utter and insane chaos; why are the police fighting us? It’s almost like they are fighting for their jobs, or something..

I’ve learned that having open conversations about race in America doesn’t happen as often as it needs to happen. While I thought I would overhear all sorts of conversations about Black Excellence this week, I mostly have just heard conversations about protests; which is progress, don’t get me wrong! But more is going to happen. Progress is slow, but it is palpable.

My friend recommended a book to me, and although I haven’t read it yet, I trust this persons recommendations enough to pass the information onto you, knowing that what you will gain from this book is worthwhile.

Have a good day! Talk to you tomorrow!

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

Don’t underestimate the power of Yoga! Specifically Yoga With Adriene. My shoulder is broken, and so you can do some Yoga for me too. I really wish I could…

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
