A Special Set Of Skills

Welcome to Operation: Relaxation!

I’m kidding. This is Operation: Stop-Using-Drugs-and-Alcohol.

I’m not sure how many blogs there are about ASMR, but I’m confident this is the only blog promoting ASMR as thee catalyst for change in regards to alcoholism and addiction recovery. Not only can ASMR provide t!ngles, but it can also be used as a sleep aid, or as an introduction to meditation. All of which are great tools when the goal is to conquer addiction!

ASMR can be an introduction to doing yoga, if you let it be, and yoga is another exceptional tool for fighting addiction.

You gotta keep the mind & body busy!

Let me know with a message on IG about all the ASMR blogs you have heard about. I love exploring the Community, all of it’s crevices and cornerstone!. I want to learn about everything ASMR. How many people can say they are an expert on ASMR? How many people think such an expertise is important? ASMR is so new, that one’s knowledge can be quite great upon the subject simply by watching it!

Wearing glasses doesn’t make you an Optometrist, but watching ASMR does give you a PhD is Relaxation.

Its weird how the internet has sped up the passage of time. Are we not at the point where visiting MySpace is like visiting the Pyramid of Khufu? …even though one of them 16 years old and the other is 4,580 years old.

If MySpace is The Great Pyramid, then the San Francisco Fogcam is like Lascaux Cave; neither of which you can visit, however, you find something pretty close.

I digress!

The purpose of this blog is to educate and entertain individuals that are fighting addiction. Everyday I provide you with an ASMR video to watch, and I give a little bit of a speech that 85%-ish of the time has to do with addiction. My purpose is also to expose you to new stuff.

Today, we have something I that is new to me, and I’m guessing it will be new to you.

My first w i d e s c r e e n a s m r video.

I am so impressed with the quality of this video. Are all of Matt’s videos this good?

These days, asmrtist’s must posses skills of many facets. The Audio Technician, the Videographer, and the Producer. The Business Owner, and the Marketing Department and the Head of Sales. There are many qualities juggled by the elite, but a knack and inkling for hardwork pave the way for all additional success.

I especially love that Matt took on the role of Hitman, because I know we have all thought: “he does look a little like the Hitman character.”

Fun fact: Today’s Video Of The Day is the 6th most popular video on Matt’s channel.

Creating ASMR since February of 2014, Matt has accumulated over 21 million views, and over 90k subscribers. He doesn’t appear to have a schedule, but he does post quite regularly. This is good; I do my best not to suggest asmrtist’s that are going to leave you high-and-dry in the middle of a panic attack. It’s a scary thought, but I’ve known it to happen. You’re expecting someone’s videos to be there…and poof, they’re gone!

The internet can be a cruel mistress, but at least it’s not a paramour.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

He does a livestream every night at 21:00 Eastern Standard Time, and his live streams are a great place to receive support, gain motivation, and listen to encouragement in regard to addiction recovery. His program is based on the Twelve Steps.

SMART Recovery is another great program for individuals who are ready to tackle their addictions.

If you are seeking spiritual guidance, I highly encourage you to check out Tarot Reader ASMR. Her name is Amalia, and she is a kind-hearted individual with a skill for bringing us closer to ourselves.

Don’t underestimate the power of Yoga! Specifically Yoga With Adriene. My shoulder is broken, and so you can do some Yoga for me too. I really wish I could…

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
