Video Of The Day 88 [ASMR Destiny] – The Man in the Woods

Recently I wrote an article titled 4 Reasons Your ASMR Channel isn’t Growing. Which, looking back at it, is not a good name for an article. That being as it is, I do not intend to change the title of the article. I yam who I yam! but mostly I eat sweet potatoes.

In response to the article, I received various comments on Twitter, including one individual that called my writing “beyond condescending.” That was a bold acquisition, so I went back and I re-read the article, and then I re-remembered how I felt when I published it: Confident. I stand behind what I wrote. Is it the kind of information that can help everyone? No, certainly not. It’s four-fairly-basic tips for improving the quality of an ASMR channel when the individual running the channel might feel exhausted for ideas.

Good things did sprout from the criticism [just as should be].

One of the individuals brought up in the Twitter thread was ASMR Destiny, and Destiny was brought into the conversation by CrinkleLuvin ASMR. She said [in regards to channels doing all of which I stated in the article, and still not receiving progress]: “I mean let’s look at ASMR Destiny. He has top of the line gear, is innovative and also makes beautiful content and yet his channel hasn’t hit 100k. So…ya know?”

My face, all the time

The statement sparked my interests in ASMR Destiny, and so I took a visit to his channel. Let’s have a look at what I found.

Omg I love holidays. Any reason to gather’round and I’m there. So! I gathered around the above video, not unlike I would gather around a fire in the woods…me and all my personalities hunched over the fire…and in the distance we hear some tapping; Zeus goes to investigate [Zeus is a dog]. What does he find?!? He finds a grown man in a teddy bear costume tapping on a tree, in the middle of the cold woods alone! “This can’t be right,” Zeus thinks, and so he walks up to the man [Zeus is only a dog in the sense that he’s a slut] and he says “Son, what are you doing out here in the middle of the woods tapping on a tree like some kinda crazy person?”

Startled, the man in the teddy bear costume jumps. “Ahh! What are you doing out here? I thought these woods were empty. I’m very sorry if I’m disturbing you or your family while you guys are camping.”

“I’d ask you the same thing,” Zeus says. “I’m here with my boys, hunched over a fire, and then we hear this tapping and come to find you here in the forest, tapping on a tree, dressed like a bear! Now are you in some kinda danger ? How did you get here?”

“Oh! My oh my!” – the man in the teddy bear outfit – “I forgot about the costume. It’s Halloween, and that’s why I’m wearing the costume. And, I drove here, that’s how I got here. But look, you see this tree is dying. My friends and I came out here earlier and I saw this tree, but I didn’t want to show them what I…what I am able to do. You know I’ve never shared this with anyone, but I’ll tell you why I’m tapping on this tree…”

For thirteen long seconds Zeus waits for the teddy bear to continue his thought, but the thought never continues. He strikes a line to egg him on… “Well now I’m interested, tell me why you’re tapping on the tree?”

Softly, and without looking in the direction of Zeus, the man in the teddy bear costume says: “When I tap on them, they grow.”

Zeus takes an immediate step back when he realizes what’s been happening. The tree had, in fact, grown twice in size since his arrival! Slowly, but ever so surely, the tree continued to grow. The tapping remained consistent in decibel and pitch. But the tree…it kept growing!

Running back to the fire Zeus is yelling “The tree man! The tree man! It’s destiny!”

When he arrived at the fire, there was exactly what he had expected there to be: nothing and nobody. Zeus was alone, and so he spun in a circle. “I can’t believe what I just saw!” He stood and listened…no tapping. He ran back to the spot where he had seen the man in the teddy bear costume, or so, the spot he thought he had seen him. Although that particular tree had grown in size, it still wasn’t the largest tree in the woods, and hardly distinguishable from any other tree. “Impossible!” He said…

But it was possible! The man in the teddy bear costume was gone. “Oh son of a gun…I thought he was destined to be my partner for the new orange grove! A man who can grow trees like that, I’ll be damned if he can’t feed the world with oranges.” Zeus then went back to his fire, hunched up over it, and began to roast marshmallows in celebration of yet another tale none of his friends would believe.

He was dreaming about oranges.

Okay that’s how I felt when I watched ASMR Destiny.

Crinkle Luvin stated a good point! He’s doing everything right, and yet his viewership remains quite minimal. So! I wanted to start this conversation today, and I intend to finish it in [the near] future. I will write another article, related to the last one, regarding some more advanced ideas I have in progressing the ASMR Community as a whole. Some people may say I don’t know the community at all…

To that I say, I know the world! And The Community is definitely part of my world. However, where I live, it’s a dog eat dog world! And as far as I know, there’s only yet one dog making ASMR.

I am not a qualified addiction counselor, but I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.
