The ASMR Daily 91
Sprichst du Deutsch?
Sprichst du Deutsch? Because today’s Video Of The Day is in German.
I’ve never been to Germany, but damn if I don’t love Germans! Have you ever hung out with anyone from Germany? Seriously, I feel like all they do is learn things, and then dance. And they don’t have to learn how to dance!
Culture is a beautiful and weird thing. Younger Americans are exposing themselves to new cultures far more than previous generations. Most old people I know [in America] have never left the country, while most young people I know have. That statement is true only since my living in San Francisco however. In 2015 when I lived in Milwaukee, most of the young people I knew had not left the country. However I’ve realized it’s a short leap to think “I should go to Germany” if you live in a place that is often visited by Germans, or just in general if you live in a world-class city.
ASMR Emotion is a really good name for an ASMR channel. Personally, I am not very good at reading emotions, and if it wasn’t for the existence of long winded communication, I would feel quite alienated from the world around me. Luckily, I am good with conversation…which doesn’t make up for my lack of being able to read emotions, but it does allow me to ask things like “So are we gonna makeout, or should I call this Uber?”
Fun Fact: I use Lyft.
I mean obviously if the situation calls for it, I’ll use Uber. Did you know that Uber used to have a monopoly on the personal chauffeur market in Asia, but now they only own 27% of that market? Still, that can’t be good for the diversification of our global economy. Then again, Uber could be the reason Grab works so well…I really don’t know.
In Vietnam, you can call a Grab Bike, and then just how an Uber driver pulls up in a car, a Grab driver pulls up on a motorcycle and whisks you back to your hostel. Well, at least that’s how it went for me. All I know for certain, is that good ideas are a helluva thing, the way they allow companies to lock in monopolies.
Just twelve years ago nobody had ever heard of Uber, but beyond that, I think most people in 2008 would have been hard pressed to get into a car with random strangers! These days however? We expect our Uber’s to arrive quickly, and we are mostly comfortable sharing the ride with strangers.
All-in-all I think convenience is ruining the economy, because pollution trumps the economy, and convenience causes pollution.
Thank you for listening to my ASMR Emotions…everyday lol. Until tomorrow!

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
