Fight The Urge To Venice Beach

I’ve been watching Accidentally Graceful for years. She is one of the asmrtists that I built a personal connection with on my journey out of alcoholism. How the whole thing works, my use of ASMR to conquer alcoholism, is this: First! You must understand that the urge to consume alcohol, or drugs, or fast food, or sugar, or whatever substance you find to be plaguing your life – the urge to consume that stuff is not constant, the urge will exist some of the time, and the urge with not exist most of the time. So, that being common knowledge, we can all learn how to fight those specific urges. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “fight the urge,” but how much time have you actually given to pondering what that phrase means? It means it’s possible. You can fight the urge! And with the God’s of ASMR at your side, I believe you are stronger than any knight or lonely night!

Second! You must learn how to fight those urges. This is where ASMR comes into play.

Today’s votd is 1 hour 7 minutes and 55 seconds long. After watching this video, you are going to be in a totally different headspace. The urge to drink, which may exist now, is likely to have morphed significantly within 1 hours time. You and I both know that feeding your addiction only about satisfying immediate urges. In one hours time, you would have already had your drink, and perhaps your second, and perhaps your third Whopper. Even if you have not built up the mindstate to fully combat your addictions – meaning you are not ready to accept the morphed mindstate that will exist in one hours time – you will at least buy yourself 1 hour. This is coming from a recovered alcoholic! The worst thing you can do is put too much pressure on yourself! Especially if you live in America! If you love drinking, and you are determined to be an alcoholic, you have every right to do what makes you happy! I know a little place out west that you can go, and you can live outside! I suppose there comes a point in most alcoholics lives, especially the ones that choose to live outside, where your life becomes intertwined with a life of crime, but in America you are innocent until proven guilty, and so if your alcoholism leads to legal problems that’s…your right to make everyone of those decisions that gets you to that point. However I am here to advise you that living your life on a rough and rugged path like moving to Venice Beach and living the Han Pandeling Solo life is not the move.

If you are choosing to use ASMR to fight your urge to consume addictive substances, you are on the right path! If you think you know someone who is on the path to living on Venice Beach with a sign that says “Let’s be real, I just need a drink!” Please let them know about my blog, where hopefully they will have some sense talked into them. Accidentally Graceful ASMR

That part when the air conditioner goes off is crazy! Also, there is quite a lot of beeping in this video, but I really…I really found it quite nice, and to be quite fitting. Almost always when there is beeping, and sometimes even clicking in an ASMR video, I find it to be off-putting. When Accidentally Graceful makes things beep however, it’s relaxing af. This is the magic of ASMR.

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.
