We Are Two so You can be Sober Too

Today is an exciting day here at ASMR.Community! LadyCocoaa ASMR, as you may or may not know, is our FIRST ASMR AFFILIATE! And today, she released the first video of her reppin our shirts! Never before have I felt the sun shine so brightly upon a brainchild of mine. LadyCocoaa is absolutely the perfect person to be affiliating with the ASMR.Community brand, and although I felt that way since I began talking to her last month, I knew it to be true when I discovered her video about getting stuck in circles.

Okayokayokay though, I’m pretty excited. Let’s look at her latest video!

WAS THAT COOL OR WHAT@ !@#$%^&

I told you, she’s perfect for representing the ASMR.Community brand. How confidently and openly do you talk about addiction? I talk about it everyday, and it’s hard. I’ll know people for three months, but the moment I tell them I’ve been revived by Narcan, I feel like they treat me different. I could be wrong…I could be in my head, and it’s not like they stop hanging out with me or are mean to me or anything. However, I can’t deny that I am always surprised to feel the change in emotions when I become so open about my past.

Drug and alcohol addiction is real. In 2017 24.5 of ALL AMERICANS ABOVE THE AGE OF 12 WERE BINGE DRINKERS. So 25% of American’s, at least sometimes, have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Drug abuse statistics are lower, but almost 74% of adults suffering from a substance use disorder in 2017 struggled with an alcohol use disorder. So…alcohol is dangerous because it is easy to get, but this is America, and so instead of asking our government to make alcohol illegal because we can’t control ourselves, we are just going to have to learn the hard way. With great power comes great responsibility. Jaguars, lemurs, bats, whales, dolphins, gorillas, orangutans…I can’t think of a single animal besides homo sapiens that are able to create alcohol. So…that’s the great power. And with this blog, I am working to help spread awareness of our great responsibility. Now I have some help from LadyCocoaa ASMR, as she also talks about that great responsibility of self control.

Make sure to check out Cocoaa’s channel, and like the video, or maybe just go and give a thumbs up to all of her videos haha, and make sure to subscribe also! She’s a growing Asmrtist, but pretty soon she’ll be a famous Asmrtist, and I think you might find a bit of satisfaction from taking the ride to popularity with her channel. Seriously! If you have a drug or alcohol problem, I encourage you strongly not to get emotionally involved in your own life right now. Go get involved in LadyCococaa’s life instead!

Everyday Sobriety Advice

I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.

When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”

Good luck, My Friend

Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.

Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”

Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”

Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”

Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”

I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.

Remember!

Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
