Why You Should Get Sober Today
Why should you get sober today? The answer is simple, and you already know that. You gotta believe me when I say: Eventually, you will thank yourself for the hardwork you put in right now.
If I could do it all over, I would have quit after the first time I ever got high. It never got any better, and in reality it only got worse. Eat mushrooms, not opiates! That’s what I say. My one friend ate hella psychedelic mushrooms, and she’s just fine. She is probably living a better life than me, actually, and in 8th grade she ate like 20 grams of psychedelic mushrooms. If you are measuring your drugs in milligrams, you might be in trouble. Unless we’re talking about cannabis, and especially cannabis drinks. Those things are the future!
Why you should get sober is less of the question, and you probably are wondering how you can get sober. Well! Now that’s a real tuff question. I love a tuff question. How can you get sober? I recommend doing the craziest f___ing thing you can think of! Grab a backpack and talk a walk across your home country. I’m serious!
No matter how old you are, you deserve to live a life that makes you happy. So many of us have in common the over arching theme of dysfunction caused by societal pressures. Going to work sucks, and after only a few short years of practicing drug addiction, it feels like you could never possibly have enough time to achieve both societal honor, and self honor. You will choose self honor, until you choose both.
Society is changing, and if you quit drugs and alcohol today, you will be better suited to accept the society of tomorrow. I recently met a man who said that when he went into prison, there existed only those Nokia-type brick phones – but when I got out, it was this – he said, gesturing to his smartphone. Oh, the wicked web we weave for ourselves! Addicts – that’s You and Me – often find themselves ill suited for this world. Compare yourself to any individual working a real profession, and you will count the differences, I am sure. Two years sober from my daily drinking routine, and it never came to be that society sits well with me. Shit’s fucked up, and we are all responsible. Well, mostly the people who came before us, as it’s hard to blame our peers for a problem that existed before even they showed up.
If you are an addict seeking a different, and a final way to get sober, I’ll tell you right here and now that the answer is a holistic life change. I heard recently a man say that his only answer to addiction was a holistic life change, and you know, I’ve definitely written about that before, but it’s refreshing to hear it from other people too.
You gotta switch it all up, fam.
Just starting ripping the cords out and see what helps! And definitely plug new, random things in! I’m talking about your life here. Rip out your attachments to unhealthy food and sugar, TV and video games. Replace them with exercise and meditation. Difficult? Yes. Impossible? Nobody in their right mind would say so. Do some fucking yoga! Yoooo I just went back and looked at the bottom of all my other articles, and I made myself look like a bitch by saying I can’t do Yoga, which is true, but I still made myself look like a bitch telling yall about it. Some days I write things, and then I read them later and I am just like wtf was I thinking? Hopefully today won’t be one of those days. If you want to get sober, overhaul your entire fucking life! Exercise more! Eat healthy. If there are people who are willing to support you monetarily while you go about achieving sobriety, let them know that the best investment they could make would be in helping you achieve a healthy diet. Seriously! We will cover what a good diet looks like tomorrow…and I promise we really will cover it, even though I am known to write a bit randomly.
Today’s video might seem a bit random, but it’s meant to both inspire and distract you. People are out here doing stuff like this! You can do anything you want with this lifetime of yours, and I suggest you move fast as a firecracker!

Everyday Sobriety Advice
I am a recovered alcoholic/drug addict, but I am not a qualified addiction counselor. To help other alcoholics/addicts achieve sobriety, I have created the mantra’s below. Although I call them “steps,” I believe that all four mantra’s should be recited in concurrence.
When the urge to drink alcohol or use drugs comes upon you, I suggest reciting these four steps, and then implementing an activity to “kill time” until your urge to use drugs/alcohol is less intense. I suggest you use ASMR videos to “kill time”
Good luck, My Friend
Below are the steps of admittance required for using The ASMR.Community Sobriety Program [ACSP] successfully.
Step 1: “Sobriety is a choice, and it is up to me to make the right choice.”
Step 2: “Not everybody will be able to achieve sobriety, but that knowledge does not prevent my success regarding sobriety.”
Step 3: “The urge to imbibe (substances that I know will prevent my success) is finite. Sometimes the urge will exist, sometimes the urge will not exist.”
Step 4: “Sobriety is not the same for everyone. Success is.”
I believe the steps I listed above are a complete, non-exclusionary list of all mental admissions needed to achieve your goals regarding sobriety.
Everybody’s definition of sobriety is different, but everybody’s definition of success is the same.

If you are looking or more information about ASMR, I’ve found the best place to learn about the subject is ASMR University. Their information is accurate [to the best of my knowledge], and plentiful. I mostly work with the application of ASMR, but there is a whole lot more to ASMR than using it to gain sobriety or fall asleep, including the history and the science of it.
